32” x 33” (82cm x 84cm), 2006
This piece was made for an exhibition at the Bou-saada Vineyard, theme “Days of
Wine and Roses” and is based on the roses in my garden.
There is nothing more intoxicating than the heady perfume of a rose. The colours
are so rich and inviting, no wonder they have been portrayed in art for centuries.
A single rose can say so much.
Thread drawing on hand dyed and commercial fabrics.
Exhibited at the International Quilt Festival, Houston 2007 in the “In Full Bloom IV”
Special Exhibit.
